The cross is the symbol of the matchless sacrifice of Christ for our salvation. It represents the sufferings of Christ and those of His saints throughout the church age; several of whom were, and still, are persecuted for expanding the gospel into various nations of the world.
The cross is not an ornamental piece of a religious relic, worn around the necks of clergies or adorning church walls; it is the symbol of our salvation. It does not join the church with the world; it separates her from it.
Echoes of Darkness is a call for re-awakening to God, urging us to spare the old rugged cross – the symbol of our salvation – an internal assault from the church, and live out its significance in honour of Christ and all the saints.
The cross is a conqueror; it has sunk its enemies and trounced its foes over the centuries.
The cross will triumph still.
